Midwest was amazing - so professional, hardworking, and the floors are beautiful. I contacted them via their website and almost immediately heard from them via phone. Cosmin then came out and measured and gave us a quote very quickly thereafter. They also were able to accommodate our schedule, as we had a prearranged vacation about 10 days after they came out for the quote and Midwest was able to do our floor refinish while we were on vacation so that we would not have to otherwise vacate our home at another time. Cosmin checked in with us regularly during the project. The floors are really beautiful. Our house is almost 120 years old and I think the flooring is original to the house. Midwest brought it back to its original glory and they were in BAD shape (covered in carpet for decades, stained, etc.). Highly recommend Midwest!!

After purchasing our condo we noticed that the hardwood floors weren't in great condition and the floor was very very creaky when walking. The creaking suggested a poorly installed subfloor which would require a new flooring installation, not just a sand and restain of the original hardwood floor. We got three quotes for this job and Midwest Hardwood Floors had the most competitive pricing and flexible timeline. The team, led by Cosmin, did a stunning job installing new subflooring and hardwood floors in a professional and timely manner. Not only do the floors not creak at all when walking, but they look beautiful! It is worth noting that my husband and I do not live in this condo full-time but Marian and Cosmin were extremely flexible with us to set up an arrangement that worked around our schedule. With us being remote during the installation, Cosmin texted us pictures and updates nearly every day to let us know when his team arrived and what they had done that day. When it came to picking stain remotely, Cosmin stained small patches of the floor with every stain were were interested in (we were deciding between 4 different colors!) and then sent pictures and called us so that we could decide. This was awesome because only looking at the stain colors online made it seem like the four stain colors we chose were nearly indistinguishable. However, on the new floors with the sun hitting the floors, there were clear and obvious differences between the stains. We would've never known if Cosmin didn't suggest we test each of them. Overall, we could not be happier with our floors and the entire installation process. The team was professional, completed the job in a timely manner, was very communicative, and the value was great. Would highly recommend!

Midwest Hardwood Floors did a terrific job refinishing our maple kitchen floors which were heavily scratched from our dogs and furniture. Cosmic and his crew were courteous, efficient and very careful to minimize any dust. It was amazing there was no dust anywhere in the house after they finished and the floor looks great! I would highly recommend them.

This is the second time I've used Marian and the team at Midwest Hardwood Floors. I recently moved and had 3 bedrooms, a stairwell, and a floor to remove carpet and replace with hardwood. Cosmin was the gentleman on the midwest team who did the work and i can't say enough great things about him, his skill, his attention to detail, and the value he places on good craftsmanship. He was also extremely respectful, courteous, and diligent. The work is his art and you can tell he truly cares about every square inch. I have found that with jobs like this, you get what you pay for. I'm sure you can always find someone cheaper, but wood floors are an investment - and saving a few grand could end up costing you a fortune if the work is not done well. And of course, if it is done well, then it will undoubtedly increase the value of your home. I would absolutely recommend Midwest - and if i have another project in the future - wouldn't hesitate to hire them for it.

We heard of Midwest Hardwood flooring through the Houzz website, where they were highly recommended. We spoke with Marian about doing our hardwood floors prior to Covid, and he was very good about constantly following up and letting us know his availability. We finally decided to do them after seeing the job they did on our friends floors, which were beautiful. We are 100% satisfied with the job they have done on our floors and on our staircase. Our only regret is not doing them sooner.

I contacted Marian to remove the ceramic tile in our kitchen and replace it with hardwood to match the rest of the house. We had no idea what was under the tile and many other contractors were afraid to take the job because they didn't want to find out. Marian was confident in his ability to do it and he did not disappoint! He was extremely careful, communicative, and hard working. He and his coworker managed to remove the tile, replace the sub-floor, and install hardwood to match my existing floor in 3 days. We are so happy with the results and equally happy that we found a flooring company that we will use in the future.

Marian is a true professional and considers his work an expression of his personal skill and high level of craftsmanship. We pulled up carpeting to reveal wood flooring from the 1950's. They made several passes sanding down to bare wood and did an unbelievably great job. We did 3 bedrooms completely with sanding, repairing, staining and coating. Additionally, they lightly sanded and re-coated the hallway, kitchen, living room and dinning room. They replaced baseboards to match throughout the house. My wife was so happy with the job..... I now have to re-paint the house so it will all look new. Marian noticed and repaired scratches and things I hadn't even noticed, he is a true artisan of his craft, I highly recommend Midwest Hardwood Floors to anyone! RR

Marian was extremely professional from start to finish. He was on time for both the estimate and to get the job completed. He sanded down our kitchen floors in our 100 year old home and restrained them matching the dining room floors perfectly and then sealed them. The floors look spectacular. There was practically no dust and we will be back in our kitchen tomorrow. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
