Was expecting it to be way more based on what we paid 8 years back when we had it done by another company. Went over everything, explained what needed to be done, how and what he was going to do to get the job done. Was very informative, polite, very upfront and no hidden or unexpected costs. GB Hardwood flooring just installed luxury vinyl plank flooring to the entire upper level of my home, and refinished 2 sets of stairs, and the results are FANTASTIC!! From start to finish on this project, George and Benjamin exceeded my expectations. They are professional, knowledgeable and skilled craftsmen - their knowledge and skill evident from the first time they came to my house. I had 5 different flooring specialists come to my home to evaluate my existing floors and discuss options for restoration or replacement. Benjamin was the only one who took his time, was thorough, pulling up multiple areas of carpeting to see what type of flooring he might be working with underneath. He also knew before pulling up the carpet that I likely had nice oak stairs underneath, and I did. I knew immediately I was going to hire him, because when he left I felt confident he was excellent at his job and cared about the work, which was exactly what I was looking for, regardless of cost. The next day I received a VERY reasonable estimate, competitive with or better than most of the other installers. I was able to schedule my flooring project for the dates I wanted, with no problem. Communication was clear and timely, every text or call was acknowledged promptly. When I purchased the flooring, George even met me at the store and saved me hundreds of dollars with a contractors discount. George and Benjamin and their crew were hardworking, friendly and respectful of my home and my time during the installation. They were punctual, informed me of their progress, and even finished a day early. My floors and stairs look AMAZING, and my house has a whole new feel! If you’re looking for a highly reliable and professional flooring company, with tradesmen who are masters at their craft and take pride in their work, for a great price- GB Hardwood Flooring is the one!
