Don't hesitate to hire Hardwood and Co to refinish your floors. Mihai and his team showed up exactly when they said they would and carefully sanded the floors of our three flat. The end result is absolutely stunning--a complete transformation of the space. They took care of every detail and left our home spotless. They buffed one of the floors. I wasn't sure we needed it because the floors were in decent shape, but WOW, the difference is incredible. Hardwood and Co is professional, prompt, reasonably priced and meticulous. I recommend Mihai and his team without reservation.

Mihai and his team replaced all the hardwood floors and subfloors in our 1300-sq-ft condo. Floors likely hadn’t been replaced since they were first installed with the 100-yr-old building. Floors are much more solid now than if we would have just gotten them refinished, so it was well worth the effort and cost. Though we needed to move out during the 2-week job, we were able to keep our furniture and loose stuff in boxes, which the team moved around as needed. Mihai was wonderful to work with and kept us informed through the project. Highly recommended!

We just moved into our condo, and redoing the floor was our first experience working with a contractor. We could not have been happier with Mihai's work and the final product. From the very beginning, Mihai helped provide us with thoughtful information and advice. During work, he was thorough and detail oriented. He even helped problem solve some unforseen issues with our old floors and went above and beyond to find creative solutions. Mihai treated our floors (and the project as a whole) as if he was redoing the floors in his own home. Additionally, Mihai was on time, an excellent communicator, and provided a reasonable price for the impeccable work he did. I feel so lucky we found this company and hope others will too!

Amazing quality work, at a highly competitive price, done with honesty, thoroughness, and good humor. What more could you ask for? Oh, right -- when we scratched the new flooring less than a week later, they came back to patch our error free of charge. These are good people. I wish I could give six stars out of five. I feel like they gave us an entirely new house.

Mihai and his team are all top shelf gentlemen. They were on time, efficient, and beyond competent. I recently purchased a 70 year old house with oak floors that had seen their share of use, with a fair amount of holes from carpet nails, pet stains and other wear and tear. Within 2 days Mihai and his team had her looking great after sanding, filling the holes and gaps, and varnishing. The floors are inner thigh smooth now too, which is another plus. I can't say enough good things about these guys, I'm definitely beyond satisfied with their work.

Hiring Hardwood and Co Flooring to redo our condo floors was one of the best decisions we have made! When we purchased the place a couple of weeks ago, the floors were covered in scratches, layers of dirty varnish, and had multiple spots of heavy wear and tear. Eugene and Cornelia were incredibly kind, personable, and communicative throughout the entire process. Both of them were timely, hard working, and had an amazing attention to detail. Within 4 days they have completely changed the look of our condo and we couldn’t be happier. I’m almost sad that the work has come to an end because they were such a pleasure to see every day. Would not hesitate to work with them again!

Eugen and Cornelia were fantastic to work with. I highly recommend them to anyone starting a hardwood floor project. My wife and I bought our first house and wanted to refinish our 20-year-old Brazilian cherry floors. We got a couple of quotes from other companies, but liked Eugen the most. We were happy from start to finish, but here are the things that stood out. 1) Staining samples: We didn't know which color to pick, so Eugen created 5 samples (pictured below). The samples are the best I have ever seen. I specifically appreciated that they are large, so we can see how the colors show on different sections of the floor. Also, they are neat and evenly stained. We were having trouble deciding, so Eugen left the samples for an extra 2 days (while sanding the rest of the apartment), which allowed us to bring in friends and family to see in person. 2) Communication: This was our first time doing a flooring project. Eugen was happy to answer all my questions and explained what he was doing for each step in the process. He also offered advice on how to select a color and finish! Most of our communication was through text, and he answered promptly. 3) Ease of business: Eugen and Cornelia showed up on time every day. For the last couple of days, I let them in and left to go to work. They texted me when they were done for the day and locked my door before leaving. 4) Quality: Most importantly, the floors look amazing! They are evenly stained, super smooth and look terrific. Eugen even offered to buff out minor scratches if I damage the floor while moving in my stuff. I could not be happier with the whole refinishing process and end result. I would not hesitate to work with Eugen and Cornelia again.

Had the most enjoyable experience with Hardwood and Co Flooring. Found them on Yelp. The owner showed up the next day to provide an estimate for a resanding and finishing of all the oak flooring in the house. Floors were in terrible shape w multiple coats of dark varnish on the second floor. They did upstairs, downstairs, and stairs between the two. The difference, as you can see was astonishing! Beautiful 100 year old red oak flooring brought back to life. The house literally looks like new construction, all at a very reasonable price. Thank you so much for the professional work and attention to detail on our 1929 home here in Evanston.

He came in, examined the floors and provided me with varnishing options. When Eugene finished, I could not tell that my floors had ever been damaged. Highly recommend Eugene.
