We had 100+ year-old hardwood floors hiding under carpet in our living room, dining room, and a bedroom. They were a mix of pristine boards and rough patches — worn sealant, a mysterious mold spot, a hole from an old return vent, and plenty of dings and stains. On top of that, our baseboards were cracked and damaged from pulling up the carpet. It looked like a mess.
We reached out to a few contractors, and Jeremiah, the owner of Premier Flooring, came out personally. He was incredibly detailed, explained his process, and even gave us tips on what to ask other vendors while we gathered quotes. His responsiveness and thoroughness stood out, and we decided to go with Floor By One.
The project was estimated at three days for sanding, staining, buffing, and sealing — plus replacing all the baseboards. We requested stained wooden baseboards to match the floors (not the typical painted MDF), and our house had three different wood types (white oak, red oak, maple), plus a strange uncovered gap between rooms. They handled it all seamlessly.
Emil and his assistant showed up promptly each day and immediately set up with care — taping off entrances, containing dust, and keeping the work areas spotless throughout. Even with all the sanding and repairs, our home stayed impressively clean and livable. They repaired boards, filled cracks, created a custom transition strip for the gap, and matched the stain across different woods beautifully. The new baseboards and shoe molding completely transformed the space — there’s no way we could have done them ourselves to this level of craftsmanship.
The final product looks stunning, the price was exactly what we hoped for, and Jeremiah even stopped by personally the following week to make sure everything was perfect.

Never in all my life have I ever had all my expectations met and exceeded. My wife and I bought some beautiful flooring and wanted it installed by someone that had some experience with a old existing carpeted floor. First before I called anyone I calculated how many square feet we needed. We asked the flooring supplier who they recommended and Jeremiah Deac and his crews of Premier flooringflooring is the go to team. First there estimate and our were within a square foot(Honst people). Second he told us they would remove furniture,carpeting,level and sweep floors before installation would begin. They would stain hard wood quarter round to match our existing base boards. After installation they would vacuum ,mop and put our furniture back. Jeremiah said this would take one full day and a few the following day. WOW! The flooring experts showed up promptly ,were polite and friendly. Jeremiah told them the game plan and off they went to expedite this task. They communicated with each other and made sure everything flowed smoothly and neatly with great care to our furniture and rest of our home. There wasn't and wasted movement and each team member had various tasks to be completed. One of the team devoted his talent to custom fitting the old carpeted stairs with the new flooring,talk about precision and integrity! They came upon an area that would not look right or be safe due to the height difference of the existing tile in the kitchen and the new flooring in the dining room. Jeremiah knew exactly how to remedy this with a hardwood transition strip stained to match. Tripping hazard eliminated! Looks Beautiful. They nearly had it all finished in one day but they wanted the newly stained molding to dry. The next day the finished with the beautiful matching quarter round put back the the furniture were my wife wanted it but not before they put felts pads on all legs and bottoms of furniture pieces. Jeremiah and his team gave us a totally new looking house. For us we will only use Jeremiah Deac and his team from Pemier flooring! Thanks Premier flooring!

I would like to point out that his pricing is very fair and not overpriced. Premier Flooring is the ultimate place to provide the most precise craftmaship for installation of your wood flooring. I was most impressed by their professionalism and CLEANLINESS on the job. The installers (Raneel) were both so careful and so willing to make sure that we were totally satisfied. We also had them install the custom stained wood registers into our wood floors. They are so LUXE and truly complete the rooms. I will use them again and highly recommend this company.
