Tom Kucharski and Victoria (office) at 5-star are so professional and got us the estimate quickly and their’s was the best price we received. Tom and his crew were clean, thorough, and they stayed working extra hours to get it done quickly knowing that the temperatures were freezing at night. The inspector said the newly installed boiler looked perfect! I’m having 5-star do the annual maintenance moving forward for all our HVAC needs.

I can describe this company and its technicians in four words: professional, knowledgeable, customer-obsessed, and accountable. I am confident that all of their technicians are highly competent, but I would like to specifically single out and express my gratitude to Pawel and Sergio for the phenomenal service they have provided to my unit over the past year. I live in a high-rise building in downtown Chicago with an in-unit, all-electric HVAC system. For several years, this system had been a bane of my existence, plagued by numerous electrical issues caused by years of inadequate maintenance, improper wiring, and the installation of cheap, unsuitable components by other contractors. Last year, a supposedly experienced contractor from another company installed a thermostat and a relay and performed what he claimed was “necessary” electrical rewiring. That work ultimately triggered a chain of failures that culminated in a blower malfunction and burnout. We were left without a functioning HVAC system for nearly a month during the frigid Chicago winter, and we struggled to find any HVAC company that was willing, or cared enough, to install a replacement blower. After dealing with four different companies, we were finally referred to Five Star by our building engineer. Since the day Five Star began working on my unit, they have made it their priority to ensure that our HVAC system is properly maintained and equipped with the correct electronic components. They have demonstrated exemplary work ethic: they never rush repairs, show genuine dedication to identifying root causes and resolving issues properly, never come across as money-grabbing or overcharging (unlike many other contractors I’ve dealt with), and clearly care about complete customer satisfaction. They have repaired, replaced, and installed multiple components for us, including a steam humidifier that was very reasonably priced and has been a critical addition to our system during the cold, dry Chicago winters. Thank you to Five Star’s management and technicians for your dedication, professionalism, and outstanding service.

Five star is the best heating company on the planet, let alone in the city of Chicago. I've known the owner Mark for a very very long time. We've done business together and I would recommend them for anything related to Unico heating cooling you name it hot water. These guys are the deal. Every technician is smart, reliable professional, but Mark runs a company the way a heating company should be because he's seen over the years. What not to do by other contractors and he's usually the guy who has to go in and fix them anyways 🙂 top notch service top notch people highly highly recommended and I'm a guy who's been in the industry for 30 years

While it is never fun when your HVAC system breaks down when the temperature outside is 40 degrees, at least Five Star HVAC Services will come to your rescue and promptly install a new one. I appreciate Five Star's lightning-fast responsiveness, no-pressure sales, and reasonable pricing. I always recommend them to friends and family. Juan came out today and quickly and effectively got to the source of our AC problem.
