After seeing Arthur's excellent hardwood installation and finishing in a renovation of my daughter's house a few years ago, we hired him to install a new hardwood floor in the previously carpeted family room of our 1960s house. The challenge was to match the look of and the height of an existing hardwood floor, clearly visible through a doorway. Arthur created the proper subfloor and installed and finished the new hardwood so beautifully that you would never notice that one floor was decades older than the other, unless you stood staring through the doorway! Arthur was a pleasure to work with, and his work transformed the look of the room!

We have two rooms that connect. One room had a hardwood floor which was installed when the house was built in 1956. The other room did not have a hardwood floor. AB Flooring installed a new hardwood floor in the room without a hardwood floor and then refinished the other room with the original flooring. The floors match perfectly and we are very happy with the finished product. We highly recommend AB Flooring!

AB FLOORING & MORE is an extremely excellent company for Solid Wood Flooring and Installation. I hired them to source and install wood flooring on the main floor of my house. I’ve never witnessed such detail in questions for me to answer on what type of trim I wanted (they provided examples), what I wanted for the kitchen and the steps down to kitchen and living room and family room, and how I wanted the floor to lay (width or length/patterns). I was extremely impressed from the first visit for the quote. I received the quote quickly and loved the price that I knew from their attention to detail that they were my #1 choice. It was time for installation and they removed my carpet and tiles and installed my new solid wood floors. They are professional, reliable, customer service oriented, and do the best quality work ever. Arthur and team are amazing. I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my new wood floors! If you are looking for WOOD flooring of any type, I would highly recommend AB Flooring and More. I had other quotes, but not one of them asked all the detailed questions that Arthur did. That, in and of itself, told me he knew this work more than any other top company. Don’t even consider an Empire or Luna; their installation service is a joke compared to Arthur; and Empire and Luna charge a hefty price for mediocre work. I’m including a picture of my flooring for you to see. It’s so beautiful and I get so many compliments!

I am so glad that AB Flooring & More was recommended to us as we were getting ready to move in to our new home. The wood floors were in desperate need of restoration. Art helped us by removing the old discolored coating, replacing damaged floor boards, dramatically reducing the creaky-ness of existing floor boards, and applying a new top-quality stain that made our very old floor look almost like new. He even addressed some of the uneven parts of the floor to level them out a bit. His equipment automatically carries dust away so there is minimal mess during the process. I would recommend Art and AB Flooring & More to any homeowner in the Chicagoland area.
