I needed to replace my old and decrepit garage so I walked around my neighborhood and asked owner of new garages for recommendations.
One of the names that came up was Mike.
After calling Mike, along with two other recommended companies, I decided to go forward with him because of his no nonsense approach to business. He was clear and straight to the point about his timeline, prices, build process, etc.
Oh and he offered the best price. It wasn't too far under what the others quoted (all in same ball park) but as I said, I prefer someone who is a straight shooter.
After agreeing to the terms and timeline, the work proceeded without a hitch, Mike promised a garage in 4-6 weeks and I got a garage in that time.
The build quality was excellent. The demo crew, cement guys, builders and the electricians were all great to work with. All very friendly, efficient and courteous.
I have had so many bad contractors in the past, which has resulted in delays, extra costs, bad builds, etc and I can honestly say this was one of a very few instances where everything that was promised during the sales cycle was delivered on time and within budget.

Garage delivered in three weeks. Results are very good. Owner was at work site at the start of each phase. Demo, concrete, build, electricity and clean up were all on time as scheduled and workers were open to my input. No pushy salesman, owner very clear and honest and available at any time by text, email or call. During the consultation and quoting process, we made changes to the design and requested features multiple times for our garage. Mike patiently answered all of our questions and adjusted the quote.
When we were set on the final design in mid-September 2022, Mike prepared a contract.
We settled on a 22x20 reverse gable design with party door, windows, and concrete patio. We selected Estate Grey shingles and Wedgewood siding. As for the interior, we had the crew install insulation and drywall.
The crews were punctual and maintained a brisk pace throughout the build.
Just 3 short weeks following contract signature, our garage was fully completed with electrical and doors installed. We did not have an existing garage to demolish so the process probably moved more quickly than usual.
Eric, the primary builder on the project, worked carefully to ensure we were happy with placement of the windows and doors prior to installation. It is clear that he takes pride in his work and craftmanship.

We went with Value Garage Builders after calling around getting quotes. They were very affordable and after reading the reviews, I felt confident they would do a good job building our garage.
The process was very smooth from beginning to end. I wasn’t very confident that it would get built in the winter time but Mike kept communication with me and was prompt the days he said they would build. When I say prompt, the concrete was poured and once it was cured the garage was built within a week (finished on a thursday) and the electrician was there Monday to add the finishing touches.
Each step of the process, Mike was there. You can definitely tell he takes pride in what he does and it shows. We love our new garage and there were no hiccups along the way. We would recommend Value Garage Builders 10/10 times.
