Please know how much our family appreciates all of the hard work that you and your company provided to us--Geoff, Aaron, Mike, our lovely framing crew who I felt started to become part of the family :) As we walk upstairs to see our new bathroom, bedrooms, closets, this doesn't even feel like our house. We never dreamed this was possible. Your team was so responsive and listened from all stages including our initial drawings which finally cracked the code of how to put an upstairs bathroom, closets, and a master bedroom in a 1920s bungalow. I am just so happy that you helped us make our house a place where our girls can grow up and we all have our own space. Your team was punctual (I am happy to have my mornings back haha), so kind, and accommodating. Everyone explained all steps of the process. All of your subcontractors were absolutely top-notch and so professional. I know I gave Geoff some cause for concern at the beginning because I was nervous to get started in the dead of winter but I really can't say how happy we are and how much WE APPRECIATE all of the amazing work that you all did. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!

We would highly recommend JRC to any family considering a second floor addition. JRC added a 2nd floor to our existing 1300 Square foot ranch home in Mount Prospect. Overall we are very satisfied and happy with the final result. JRC was involved from design to fabrication completion which included a second floor with 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, Master suite, laundry room, loft as well as sub-contracted installation of 2 new HVAC units. Additionally JRC also did minor alterations to our existing 1st floor (floor plan), changed out wood burning fire place to gas fireplace and of course added in a stairway. We (family of 4) lived in the house during the entire process. We researched multiple Design/Build – General Contractor companies and chose JRC based on their proven track record of building a quality finished product on-time and within contracted schedule. We had heard firsthand accounts and witnessed other families whose 2nd floor additions with other less costly-less reputable Design/Build – General Contractors take 1 year to 18 months or more to complete with all kinds of disappointments and horror stories. JRC took 4 – ½ months from start to finish with no weekend work and with a majority of the work being done between 7am and 4pm week-days. Their foremen and crews were top notch, professional and worked with us daily to make sure everything was being done just right, the way we wanted it done.

“We had a remodel done by JRC Design build and were very happy with it.”

We had a remodel done by JRC Design build and were very happy with it. The job included opening up our kitchen by removing a load bearing wall, a foundation extension and bricking the exterior of the small addition, new kitchen, new hardwood floors, new windows and new trim throughout the house. Jim’s price was very fair, his work was on time, workers were always on time and did a great job. We like the project managers who kept us well informed of the progress and any last minute decisions we had to make. We were very impressed that JRC never had any hidden costs and always did little things not specified in the contract without up charges to make sure the job was done right. We are completely satisfied with the workmanship, JRC’s professionalism and highly recommend JRC Design Build.

Problems (only a few) that naturally arise in such a big project were addressed quickly and professionally. JRC staff led us through the project in all steps, with attention to cost efficiency - well done!

We did a home renovation in 2016 that included our entire downstairs (Kitchen, laundry, family room, addition, etc etc) and many rooms and baths upstairs. We chose JRC because of the excellent reputation in Arlington Heights. I can't say enough good about the employees at JRC. Our project managers (Jeff and Mike) were very helpful, thoughtful, thorough, and prompt. Many of the employees are long term and have been in the industry for years and have excellent skills. From our excellent framer, to the siding person, to the referrals for suppliers, the skilled carpenters, etc,--everyone was excellent. I felt I could trust any of the JRC workers in my home and to do the right thing in terms of quality work. They always covered things and kept things as clean as could be. By the end of our project which took about 5 months, the employees felt like family. I am so grateful to have found JRC and absolutely love the work they did for us.
