Tomasz did a great job with a full upgrade of our primary bathroom. It went from dark and dingy to clean and bright. They addressed many of the design flaws in our original bathroom, like poor grouting and tiling in the shower door jam, a damaged subfloor, removing unnecessary tiles on the shower ceiling, and suggesting a proper exhaust fan that significantly improved steam issues. They also had suggestions for improving the room like extending the shower outward, adding a shower bench, and using tiles for the trim around the toilet area. They were very flexible to our extra requests that we added as construction was beginning, like a heated floor and adding an outlet in our 2nd bathroom. We are very happy with the end result and enjoyed working with Tomasz and his team.

“After complimenting our friend in the south Loop on how nice her condominium remodeling turned out,...”

After complimenting our friend in the south Loop on how nice her condominium remodeling turned out, we hired Icon Remodeling on her recommendation, for a complete re-design of our master bathroom, master bedroom, walk-in closet, kitchen lighting, and living room mantelpiece redesign in our condominium unit and we could not be more pleased with the work Tomasz and his crew performed. This was a 4-month job, as we rotated the walk-in closet 90 degrees, tore out an ugly unused jacuzzi and replaced it with a modern tub and new vanities and shower stall and added a sorely-needed linen closet, added a pantry in the kitchen, a mantel, shelving and cabinets and replaced and stained hardwood flooring to match the existing hardwood. Tomasz and his crew Ziggy, Casek and Emilio all demonstrated complete skill with electrical, plumbing, carpentry and tile jobs, and Tomasz kept everyone on a tight schedule to get the jobs done - there was little lag time in waiting for his shower door guy (Radek) or floor refinisher guy (Roman) to get here - they arrived as scheduled and got the subcontracting work done. The crew was polite and stayed out of our way as we work from home, and they were exceptionally neat - blocking off construction dust with floor-to-ceiling plastic and making sure they took the scrap with them in large contractor bags. They also knew where to park their vans to allow traffic to pass, and they were polite with any of our neighbors they may have met. Tomasz even encouraged the city inspectors to review the job as quickly as possible, as this required a permit (moving doors on a load-bearing wall), and inspectors can sometimes reschedule for various reasons. In summary, we would strongly recommend Icon for any residential remodeling you may be considering.

When we needed follow up on issues that involved the cabinet maker and had trouble reaching a fabricator, Tomasz stepped in and offered to handle it for us. We had the best experience working with Tomasz and his team for our kitchen renovation. The work they did looks amazing, we couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen! Tomasz was so helpful throughout the whole process, providing guidance and recommendations on where to purchase everything including cabinets, countertops, tiles, and appliances. Tomasz was always responsive and kept us up to date on everything. We had a couple last minute updates we wanted done and Tomasz and his team were so accommodating, adding the extra work in for us and still completing the project on time. I’m somewhat knowledgeable about this type of remodel so I watched closely and was thrilled with their approach and craftsmanship. They don’t cut corners.
