We love our custom home, built by Hinsbrook in 2018. The owner/general contractor, Randy, is a gem of a builder. From the initial meeting, he stepped us through each part of the process; architectural plans, surveys, permits, teardown process, then onto the fun! Because I’m very hands on person, I was at the property and watched the day-to-day work. Most builders might be annoyed by that, but Randy and his team really listened my input and ideas (of which I had MANY!) They were eager to make my ideas work, even if they hadn’t done them before. I closely watched the construction process. I saw how Hinsbrook managed the subcontractors and supplier relationships with great respect. I heard so many positive comments from subs and suppliers – saying that Hinsbrook was their favorite residential builder and that they always enjoyed working on a Hinsbrook project. Randy always answered the phone, promptly replied to texts, and sent photos and updates from the construction site. He managed every aspect, making sure we stayed on schedule for choosing things like plumbing fixtures, lighting, cabinets, tile, and countertops selections. The project was streamlined and we. stayed. in. budget! That was super important to us, but pretty rare in custom home construction. What we didn’t experience was having to pay for the superfluous costs and overhead seen with other builders in the western suburbs. Hinsbrook doesn’t have a large showroom and or a big staff of salespeople. There aren’t glossy marketing ads plastered all over town. None of that. Everyone knows all those costs are passed along to clients through construction costs. And having all that jazz doesn’t make a better builder. Hinsbrook is run with saavy and expertise, which we experienced from beginning to end. We’re so pleased that our forever home is a Hinsbrook home.

We recently engaged Hinsbrook Construction to redo our basement bathroom. All of the tradesmen were very professional and cleaned up at the end of each day. Randy Hoekstra, the owner of Hinsbrook Construction, kept a close watch on the project and provided additional cleaning service when necessary. The craftsmanship was outstanding, and we have received nothing but compliments from our family and friends on our new bathroom.

In the end his work stands on its own. As much as the quality of his work makes a strong impression, so too does his service after closing.
