Jeremy and his crew were great. This was a relatively small job but I knew I wanted About Space to do it based on reviews and meeting with Jeremy. He was busy but agreed to take it on as long as we knew he’s committed to finishing most large jobs ASAP. He and his guys came when they could and always when they said they would! They were meticulous and so enjoyable to work with. They gave us feedback, suggestions and recommendations but allowed us to do some of the footwork ourselves to save us money. All jobs run in to unexpected “surprises”, especially in a 110 year old home, and their experience and imagination was invaluable. What else can we have them do? Hmmm….

We had an excellent experience working with Jeremy and the about space team. We contracted him to help us fix some ongoing seepage and water issues in our 125-year-old basement. After solving the fix, he helped us to refinish the space in a way that increased function and appearance. We found him to be easy to work with and reliable. He gave us just the right amount of flexibility in selecting our own materials and making our own design choices, but with the reassurance that his team could provide guidance and manage installation . The whole project came in right on budget. We recently had a handyman over to help with a different project and he remarked at how great the space looks. We plan to work with them again soon.

AboutSpace remodeled two bathrooms and added second floor laundry for us. The job required lots of plumbing reconfiguring and a full house electrical update. We used many unusual high-end and artsy materials and we're super picky about details. Jeremy and his crews were incredibly professional and everything is perfect. Jeremy takes his time to think and talk through challenges before letting his crews dive in, and included us in that process. His scheduling is highly efficient and he understands what a pain it is to live through construction. Care was taken to clean up each day. Jeremy personally managed making sure everything was done to his satisfaction, including every single item on the punch list; this isn't a contractor who abandons you for the final 10%. Wonderful experience all around and we feel like we made a new friend to boot.

I's trongly recommending About Space for your renovaton needs. We had an emergency with our only bathroom at the end of February--a water leak caused the entire bathroom to be gutted and renovated. I searched through google reviews for recommendations, and I called Jeremy Elsberg, owner of About Space, in a complete panic. Jeremy walked me through the process and agreed to fit us into his schedule. He did, and we now have a beautiful new bathroom. All the people he had working in our house were terrific people beyond being excellent at their jobs. Jeremy was caring and taught me a whole bunch about renovation along the way. I feel like I found a trusted partner in caring for my house. He's local in Evanston, and word of mouth is a significant way he gets business. Highly recommend this company. Jeremy was courteous and communicative regarding scheduling and the work performed. Work itself (drywall repairs after water damage) looks great. An important note: they book up pretty quickly for the busy summer months, but smaller jobs (which my situation fell under)can be accommodated if your schedule is also flexible.

Highly recommend About Space Construction. We had a great experience working with Jeremy and all of the team. They are detail oriented and organized in the project from start to finish. They were flexible to work with and transparent with thorough communication. The floors were refinished and some additional hardwood was added in. The floors are beautiful!!! From installation of new cabinetry, plumbing, electric, tiling, flooring, everything turned out perfect! We are so lucky to have found Jeremy thanks to a referral from a friend!
