the roofing team did an outstanding job and their prices were very fair. they went above and beyond what i had hoped for. i needed an awning over a window that would match my existing roof, and i figured it would just be something simple to blend in with my house. instead, the new awning turned out to be a real highlight, making my home's exterior look even better and maybe even boosting its value. the roofers, especially leonard, were friendly and took the time to answer all my questions. they also made sure to clean up thoroughly after finishing the project—so well, in fact, that my kid tried using a metal detector in the yard to find any leftover nails, but didn’t find a single one.

After a recent heavy rain, I noticed a serious leak in my second bathroom and wasn't sure how to handle it on my own. I reached out to Thomas Family Roofing and spoke with Leonard, who was very helpful and understanding about my situation. He quickly sent a team to my home within a few hours. Dale and Angel inspected my roof and discovered the leak was coming from damage around the boot of the pipes, not the shingles as I had feared. They explained that putting a tarp up might actually cause more harm by adding unnecessary nail holes, so they repaired the boot right away. I was so relieved to have the problem fixed so quickly, especially during such a difficult time for me. Leonard also offered to come back soon to check on the interior water damage. I'm really grateful I chose this roofing company—they made a tough situation much easier and I feel very supported.

i usually don’t write many reviews, but i wanted to share our experience with thomas family roofing. after getting a few different estimates from other roofers, the proposal we received here stood out as the most professional. leonard and theodore took the time to sit down with us, explaining every step of the roofing process and answering all our questions. we ended up choosing landmark pro shingles after comparing them with other options, and we’re really happy with our decision. what really impressed us was that each shingle was hand-nailed, not put on with a nail gun. it’s the old school way and you can tell it’s built to last. the crew showed up exactly when they said they would, kept us updated throughout, and made sure the whole yard was clean—even using a magnetic roller to pick up stray nails. the whole installation was solid and the team was very professional. i highly recommend getting a quote here before you decide on a roofer. their price was even better than the others!

My son and I hired a roofing company to work on our old city house, which had a 160-year-old flat roof with several layers of damaged roofing. Many roofing companies we talked to wanted to just put new shingles over the bad material, but this roofing crew and some independent pros said it was better to remove the old roof and fix what was underneath. Their price was very fair, and they also agreed to fix several squirrel holes in the fascia and redesign a downspout, which other companies would not do. The job was supposed to take about two days, but because there was a lot more damage under the roof than expected, it took three days. During that time, we got to know the whole team well. Any time we had a question or concern, Leonard and the crew were always quick to respond and treated us with respect. The new roof and the extra repairs look fantastic, and they left our property even cleaner than it was before they started. From Dale, who answered the phones, to Theodore and the rest of the crew, everyone was friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. I would definitely hire this roofing company again for any future work.

We recently hired a roofing company to replace the roof on our home. Their estimate was as good as, or even better than, the other quotes we received from local roofers. We went with Certainteed TL shingles in Town and Country Grey, Polystick underlayment for the area where our pool solar panels will go back, and bonderized steel gutters. From start to finish, the customer service was excellent. Project Manager Dale brought years of roofing experience and handled everything professionally. He was always quick to answer our questions, stopping by the house before the work began and coming during the project to supervise and check on the progress. The roofing crew showed a lot of skill and worked efficiently, making sure to keep everything tidy each day. We feel confident that the materials and craftsmanship will stand up well to Illinois weather, making this a solid investment for our home. Overall, we are very happy with our new roof and the service provided.

The roofing team did an outstanding job on my home in Chicago! We’ve had some wild storms lately, and lots of neighbors were getting their roofs replaced. A coworker recommended this company because of their great reputation for quality work. I decided to give them a call, and Leonard came out to inspect the damage. He confirmed that my roof needed to be replaced, and when my insurance company checked, they agreed with Leonard’s assessment. I scheduled the roof replacement and chose upgraded hail-resistant shingles, which even helped lower my insurance costs. I also decided to add a solar attic vent.
