Summer Thorton and her design team came on board for our new house project early in the design process. We were building a large family lake home in Wisconsin. I first saw Summer's designs in print magazines in Chicago. It was her use of color that attracted me and drew my interest. Once I hired her, I was so overwhelmed and completely wowed by her color choices and combination of color for every element of the room design. Another thing Summer does so well is mixing new designs with antique details. This was an unexpected surprise and made our home feel unique and totally personal to my taste. Summer was incredibly organized and timely and constantly providing me with options and color schemes for the entire house. Working with the design team was a pleasure, emails and phone calls were immediately responded to and issues taken care of. Once Summer and the design team supervised and completed the install I walked into the house for the first time and literally cried with joy and happiness over the final result.

I cannot adequately put into words how pleased I am with Summer and the rest of the team at Summer Thornton Design, but I'll give it a shot... I am a bit of a control freak - some may even claim I have a mild case of OCD. Needless to say, the thought of turning over control of my recent home remodel made my stomach a bit uneasy. That feeling disappeared 10 minutes into my first meeting with Summer - I immediately knew I was making the right decision. The level of attention her team puts into EVERY last detail was amazing (even to me). My home is now finished and the end result is stunning. I have lived in the completed home for three years now and I still smile from ear to ear every time I walk through the door. Summer and her team delivered a home that was beyond what I had ever dreamed possible. While this project is complete, the friendships gained will last a lifetime. Assuredly, there will be a different house and another project. I relish the opportunity to work with Summer Thornton Design in the future!

We have worked with Summer Thornton Design for many years now. Summer, Whitney and all the staff are wonderful to work with and bring fresh energy to the design world. They have always been very respectful and understand what it takes to get the job done in an extremely high quality manner which in my opinion is the key to a successful project. We are a painting and wall covering installations company and love the new ideas and challenges they bring to us to accomplish. I especially appreciate how they tailor each project to the clients personality and needs. This is no cookie cutter design firm!

I had the pleasure of working with the Summer Thornton Design team when conceptualizing my new retail store’s interior theme. I had found her firm when I had asked around for recommendations, as Summer had decorated another retail store in the Chicago area. The process of working with Summer was incredibly easy and assuring. I gave her direction and the branding, and she was able to fill in the gaps with pieces I both loved and adhered to my stringent budget. Everything was completed in a timely manner with great attention to detail. Nothing was overlooked, as we ran into some restrictions with planning based on the buildings structure. When problems arose, we were always able to find a solution and Summer’s team worked until everything was perfect. Overall, I would highly recommend Summer to anyone who was looking for an interior designer, as I already have to numerous people. We receive compliments from all of our customers remarking how much they like the space better than how it looked before. It was a joy to work with her and her team and look forward to using Summer Thornton Design again in the future.
