“Jill does amazing design work.”

Jill does amazing design work! The best word to describe the impact of her work on our home is transformational. We started with the first floor, changing both big and little things. Jill recommended we remove the carpet from our family room and replace it with a wood floor, carrying the wood floor from the kitchen through the family room so it would look like one, bigger room. She was right! We replaced our dated fireplace and hearth with tile, taking it all the way to the ceiling and mounted our tv above the new fireplace mantle. When it was done and family and friends came over, rounded the corner into the kitchen, saw the new family room and fireplace, they all made the same exclamation, “Wow”. In addition, per Jill’s recommendation, we painted both the kitchen and family room a lighter color, which also brightened the space and added to the “wow” factor. I had a favorite piece of furniture where our tv used to sit, and Jill moved it to the dining room to use as a side table. She repurposed a mirror to hang above it and found the perfect vase to finish the look. With the living room, Jill recommended replacing a dark area rug and pillows with something lighter and rearranged the furniture to open-up the space. Jill found both a new lamp and a new floor lamp and voila – transformed! Last, but not least on the first floor, even our entry way was transformed. Jill expertly hung our family portraits going up the stairs, adding a green wreath. And I love how Jill focuses not just on making our space beautiful, comfortable, and inviting, but also makes things work for day to day living. She found a transitional, round mirror to hang next to the front door so we can make a quick appearance check before heading out. (Our kids are particularly fond of this!) Jill also redesigned our master and upstairs hall bathrooms. We LOVE our master bath, and it also elicits a “wow” when people see it for the first time. We found beautiful wall tile and have it going to the ceiling and lovely floor tile. With Jill’s guidance, we were able to make our shower much larger (so awesome!), and by finding one somewhat smaller, were able to update to a freestanding tub. It’s also a much brighter space because Jill added several additional lights, including one over the shower, tub and bathroom entryway. Jill found the beautiful vanity, light fixtures, mirrors and all the faucets. For the hall bathroom, we found a pretty, blue tile, again going all the way to the ceiling. Jill recommended and found very reasonably priced vanities and fixtures and we painted it a very light color. It’s perfect! Not only does Jill do amazing work, but she is also a joy to work with, has great attention to detail and follow-up and budget conscious. My husband and I agree, Jill is a must for any and all future design work!
