“Excellent process end-to-end.”

Excellent process end-to-end! I will recommend and use these guys for all of my electrical needs going forward. I needed to upgrade my garage to 220 and have an EV installed and Boz and his team did a great job specing the project and following through on their plan. They were smart and considerate about the most efficient to run the lines through my yard to the garage. Other companies that came to review the job either suggested the copout strategy of running an overheard wire (dangerous and not up to code I've learned) or a complex operation that involved breaking up my concrete walkway (and having to hire someone else to repair it!). The Highlights team were thoughtful about their approach and figured out a plan that was the least invasive path and utilized their skillsets of trenching and running pipe as incognitio as possible. Very cool! The work was completed in a timely fashioned, not rushed. Each member of the crew was friendly, knowledgeable and hard-working - which shows a lot about the character and culture of the company. It was tested, I was walked though what they were doing while they did it and then they cleaned up like they were never here! The final install (photos coming) is clean and functional. Highly recommended!

“Amazing to work with.”

Amazing to work with. I had a Tesla charger installed in my detached garage and also had my electrical panel upgraded. The original estimate was that the work would take 2–3 days, but the team completed everything in just one day. The pricing was very reasonable, and all work was done cleanly and professionally. Boz was my main point of contact and did a great job keeping me up to date throughout the process. He also followed up afterward to make sure I applied for the ComEd EV charger credits in time, which I really appreciated. Everything was completed up to code and passed inspection without any issues. I would definitely recommend them for EV charger installations and electrical upgrades.

Raul and Oscar did a great job installing some new light switches for us, as well as helping with installation of a fixture. They found some unique challenges/ways we had to adjust, including the need to open up the wall more than we might have expected given some issues with our boxes. Along the way, Raoul was very communicative about what we needed to do, pros and cons, and what he would recommend, which allowed us to make good decisions in real time. Leading up to the appointment, Boz and Iva were also very communicative in quickly getting us a quote and understanding exactly what we wanted done. I was very happy with their communication and how quickly we were able to get our project done. Will definitely reach out again for future needs.

We got several estimates to have recessed lighting put in our condo (17 in total). Not only was Highlights Chicago the best cost wise, but they were in depth with the estimate and very responsive to any questions we had prior to the project. Victor, Benjamin & Gus arrived on time, were very friendly, detailed with covering everything in plastic and did an excellent job installing our lights. We were absolutely thrilled with result and will not hesitate to recommend Highlights to our friends and family.

“It is quite hard to find "good" contract work.”

It is quite hard to find "good" contract work. It is even harder to find "good" contract work done by really nice and genuine people. Juve and Marin, two electricians from Highlights Chicago, came to complete a project at my property and they were absolutely delightful. They were respectful and aware of all of the rules that needed to be followed in high rise buildings, they were extremely patient navigating the tough parking situation, elevator challenges, and back and forth trips to bring materials and tools from their vehicles to the 4th floor unit. They spent ample time not only answering all of my questions but walking me through the process so that I was becoming educated about what was happening along the way. They did a phenomenal job with the actual electrical work, replacing a full electrical panel, several outlets in the kitchen and bathroom, and moving light fixtures. They go above and beyond what you would expect for electrical work. To add to the great experience, Bozidar, the managing director at Highlights, was exceptional in following the progression of the project with kindness and expertise. I am so pleased with the care and craftsmanship the entire team provided. I would highly recommend using them for all of your electrical needs. Very grateful! Thank you, Highlights!

During an inspection for our home remodel we discovered our electrical panel wasn’t properly grounded according to current code. We reached out to Highlights based on their good reviews. They were very responsive and Boz gave us a quick and accurate estimate. The work was scheduled within a few days and completed in one day. Boz and another electrician were excellent- they were able to creatively place the electrical inside our walls with minimal drywall repairs needed. They also installed a new outlet for us. We’ve been very pleased with their work and we passed the new electrical inspection. We very highly recommend.

Right from the initial meeting, Boz was fantastic. He gave us a very accurate, honest assessment of exactly what our new home needed and never once tried to upsell or push unnecessary work—something we really appreciated in the middle of a big build. His estimates were delivered precisely when promised, keeping our project on schedule. The work itself was of exceptionally high quality. I needed to upgrade my electrical service from the pole to the house. ComEd would not do it until I got updated risers and weatherheads on my front house and my coach house. Highlights came recommended from a friend. They were great! Boz came out the day after I called to give me a quote, and we were scheduled within a week. The guys were polite and clean and got the work done a few hours earlier than they said. The best part was I didn't have to deal with ComEd at all-Highlights handled everything and now I have updated, safe electrical service! Highly recommended.
