“Dycon helped my family and I get new siding.”

Dycon helped my family and I get new siding. A neighbor who worked with Arturo referred me to him and it was a smooth process. We met with him. He came to my house to do the inspection of our siding and discovered hail damage on it. He worked directly with the insurance company who at first only allowed us to change 3 of the 4 walls of our house. After about 3 to 4 months of the back and forth with the insurance company that Dycon took care of we were awarded our siding. Right before we were to do siding Arturo mentioned that if we were to get new windows now would be the best time before the siding goes up. Though he did not have any referrals we shopped around for windows and had new windows installed. Additionally, Dycon provided us with siding samples, which we later were able to decide on. I just want to mention that I am completely happy with how things went and how cooperative Dycon was in the process. The siding is perfect and I do notice the difference in the cooling season now. My house retains the cold air much better than before and I see my AC running less now. Though there were a few hiccups in the process of getting both windows and siding done. Arturo was helpful during the whole process. The first thing we did was get our windows installed. Due to the style of the siding we chose, the J-channel, which we later found out required our windows to be flashed again due to the asthetics and function where the window meets the siding. This wasn't a problem until my window inspector, who came in asked that I call the window company to ensure that flashing over the existing windows is okay? Mind you I did tell the window company that our siding is going up in few days after they install, but due to unknowns like rain they had to flash our new windows. After contacting the window company (renewal by andersen), they informed me that since they were not the last one's to touch the window I do not have my warranty. However, the window company came out a few weeks later to reflash our windows that Dycon had done already, which reinstated my window warranty. Arturo had brought the window company additional siding if they needed it and J-channels as well as the color match caulking due to the construction. Though the situation was not ideal, Dycon/Arturo were very helpul during this process and completely understood that we should get our warrantly reinstated. Also, the window company relfashed our windows without additional cost. For those of you getting new windows, I'd check with window company to ensure that they flash so that the J-channel style can fit well to avoid the situation we went through. Figure this out otherwise, you will end up in a situation like us. Overall, I was very happy with Dycon who changed my siding as well as downspouts on our home. I was very happy that Arturo's willingless and understanding to help us through this rather stressful uncertaintly of our new windows. Overall, I'd highly recommend Dycon for siding. I even asked if we needed a new roof. Unfortunately, he said it looks fine for now. Great work Dycon!
