FIRST - I gave her a budget and she worked perfectly within it.
SECOND - I asked her to level me up, but told her I was keeping our 25-year-old trestle table (it's the only thing I insisted on keeping). She said, "No problem. We can do that!"
THIRD - I sent her some rough ideas that, in hindsight, did not provide enough detail on what I was looking for. However, she replied SUPER promptly with concepts. Within a week we had arrived at something lovely but...I just wasn't excited. So at midnight I sent her an email apologizing but also saying I just didn't think we had it. This time I included several pictures providing much better clarity on what I was hoping for and the next morning I had an email saying, "No worries! We'll start again." Two days later I had 6 new designs all of which I loved. Amazing.
FOURTH - Her recommendations on lighting, painting the ceiling (it's now dark green :), and combining wall papers created a truly unique, vibrant space that I just love to be in. All the guests we've had love it too. She handled all the ordering of furniture and wallpaper for me at great, discount prices.
FIFTH - I picked 6 chairs from Anthropologie and 2 of them arrived damaged. When she called to order replacements, they said the chairs were discontinued. These chairs were a light pink velvet that didn't exist anywhere else unless we had them custom done (waaay more expensive). Karyn helped me work out an awesome solution whereby Anthropologie gave me the 2 broken chairs for free. She then sent me the name of a local furniture repair company that fixed the broken chairs PERFECTLY. I got 6 chairs for the price of 5 and love them.
Overall, it was an absolute pleasure working with Divas 'n Design and she will be my first call for my next project. She's the best!

“I have known Karyn for over 13 years.”
I have known Karyn for over 13 years. She helped my husband and I with selecting finishes, cabinets, color palettes, etc. for our current home and I asked her to come back last year for a remodel of our great room.
Karyn just gets me. She understood exactly what I was looking for and made wonderful suggestions on flooring, furniture, window treatments, etc. We pretty much changed everything about the room, down to the paint and baseboards.
I told her that there were three things that I had to keep (e.g., several framed pictures of a trip to Ireland) and she had to find a place for all of them when the project was finished. These things made me happy and reflected a part of my husband's and my story. (From the Divas N'Design home page.... "Your home should tell the story of who you are and be a collection of what you love."). Karyn kept her promise and these things that I love and that give me such joy have a special place in the room.
Karyn made selecting fabrics, furniture, lamps, mirrors, lighting fixtures, flooring, window treatments, etc. easy by presenting suggestions, and if I didn't like any of the suggestions, she just came back with more. She also has a deep portfolio of outside contractors she works with and they were all very professional, reasonably priced and wonderful to work with. I was very pleased with the results and would recommend Karyn and Divas N'Design without reservation.

We just completed a several month condo project that involved all rooms.
Working with Karyn was a wonderful experience. She not only had creative ideas, but she was very enjoyable to work with! Our place is 100 percent completed now and we are thrilled with it. I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting a beautiful environment to live in. She did a great job!

I just moved into a new condo in the City a little over a month ago and I hired Divas N Design to help me layout a furniture plan, select the furniture and coordinate the entire process for me, as, I travel often for work and do not have a lot of free time. Our communication was mainly through emails with a couple of calls here and there. Karyn and her team were outstanding, any questions that I had, were acknowledged and answered promptly. I gave them some specific wants and needs and they executed it, while staying within my budget. Friday was delivery day and when I walked through the door, I was not only elated with the outcome, it had exceeded all my expectations! I would highly recommend them to my family and friends or anyone that wants to work with an excellent design company
