We utilized CKI for an extensive basement remodel as well as updates in our kitchen. We couldn't be happier with the results. Christie and her associates Linda and Kassidy were very professional throughout the entire process from design and picking out our flooring, furnishings wall colors, and through construction and delivery. Very communicative throughout the process. Christie and her team helped take us a bit out of our "comfort zone" in colors and fabrics, for example, but in the best possible way. The finished product in both the basement and kitchen is phenomenal, and we love spending time in our new spaces, and sharing time with family and friends.
Shout out also to her partner sub-contractor, AW Wendell and Sons. Eric is equally professional and works with the best contractors we've ever worked with, who all did excellent, top of the line work, with great attention to detail. .
We highly recommend Christie and her team at CKI!

We recently gave our kitchen a facelift and had the pleasure of working with the fabulous Christie Kenny of Christie Kenny Interiors. The end result was nothing short of amazing.
Few days ago, we even had a magazine photo shoot in our kitchen—and of course, Christie was there to assist with staging and styling. It was an incredible experience!
Christie completely transformed our kitchen, taking our vague ideas and turning them into a stunning, functional space that perfectly reflects our style. She’s a strong advocate for sustainability and reducing waste, and did a fantastic job repurposing some of our existing cabinets—giving them a fresh new look. We were thrilled to both reduce our environmental impact and save money—two wins in one!

We moved from the city to Clarendon Hills last fall, and knew we wanted to work with a designer to help create the best spaces for us in our new home. After talking to a few options, it was clear Christie & her team were the right choice. They were organized, thoughtful, fun, and really got to know us even before we started the detailed work together. Throughout the process, they somehow understood what we needed more than we did! The designs were perfectly tailored to us and our lifestyle -- modern, cozy, and functional in our everyday crazy family life. They also kept us updated every week so we never had to worry about the pieces coming together. We loved working with Christie, Linda, and Kassidy and can't wait until our next project together!

We hired Christie to help with our kitchen/bathroom/mudroom remodel and we absolutely love the results! I had a very particular vision and Christie did such a great job making that vision come to life. I wanted a modern look but still wanted it to feel warm and inviting. She presented different options to us and was patient as I struggled to find just the right look I was going for. Remodels are stressful but she put me at ease and earned my trust right from the beginning. Christie and her assistant Linda were so fun to work with - I highly recommend!

Christie did an amazing job on my recent family room redo! She created a room that was not only beautiful but comfortable for my family. She was always quick to respond to questions and was patient when I had trouble making choices. She listened to my family's needs, was organized, and very through. Christie was so easy to work with! She listens and organizes so many details its quite amazing. We enjoyed working with her so much she really was a friend to us. She was so easy to talk to and bounce ideas off that I will definitely use her again for our next housing project.
We had a larger project that was initially a lot for us to mentally think about but she broke it down and made it seem so simple. Her attention to detail and making sure that your space is YOUR space really stood out to me.

It had been 18 years since I did any styling with our house. I was spurred into action by some damage to our walls by a bad ice dam one winter. Once that was fixed, I both needed to recarpet my entire house, and wanted to update my family room and bedroom for years, but couldn’t seem to find the direction I wanted to go in. I knew I needed some help. I started looking online for reviews about interior designers. I did look at portfolios but the most important thing to me was what clients thought about the actual designer. I feel like I might be easily swayed into accepting their style when it really might not be something that I deeply liked, because that had happened to me before. Christie Kenny’s reviews uniformly talked about how easy she was to work with, how caring she was, and about how she got to know her clients and what THEY liked and wanted. Boy, were those reviews right! And now, I can add 1 more testimonial to that list!
I have been working with Christie since 2021. My original project was going to take a little while because of all the Covid delays. On top of this, I called Christie to reschedule more times than I would have ever imagined because I was taking care of my Mom and her health was failing. There seemed to always be an emergency happening. Christie was ALWAYS caring, comforting and would work around whatever was happening on my end. She is completely professional but so much more. She is also a wonderful person. She got to know me and my personal situation. She has become a good friend, but one who REALLY knows design! More importantly, she took the time and listened to me and now really knows my style and what I like! She has a great sense in knowing if I am on the fence about something and will come up with various options to choose from. At the same time, she has opened my eyes with new design ideas.
I have already said this, but Christie has an absolutely great eye for design! My bedroom and family room are just stunning, and I could not possibly be happier. We even added putting a man cave together for my husband in our finished basement and he is now surrounded by all the things he enjoys!
Working with Christie has been a joy. We are moving onto a new project with a guest bathroom remodel, and I am so confident that it will be a stunner, too. Christie takes really all of the worry - and certainly all of the footwork - out of the process. I actually look forward to every meeting and get together that we have. She is obviously passionate about what she does. She is very obviously so talented in her design eye and skill. But the best part of Christie Kenny Design is Christie Kenny herself. She is someone that I am so grateful I found for my house project because I also got to meet and know a really wonderful person.

“Christie is an unbelievably talented designer.”
Christie is an unbelievably talented designer. She is great from a design and creativity perspective but where she really separates herself if in organization, decisiveness and her ability to put together a well laid out plan. I have executed plans for several of her clients and there is never any uncertainty or grey area with what she expects. It works out great for me as a contractor but where is really matters is assuring the customer gets exactly what was envisioned at the end of the project.

Christie is so wonderful to work with. I'd highly recommend her! I used another designer prior to working with her, and I didn't feel that the first one understood what I wanted, and didn't seem to care too much about the project. In contrast, Christie really took the time to understand what our style is (and actually helped develop it), and worked hard to make the project fit our house, lifestyle, and *budget*! She is realistic and knows how to work within a budget, using lots of resources. More than that, she is a total pleasure to work with, and I'll definitely go to her again.
